My Story (in a nutshell)

I won my first computer in a videogame contest. It came with a modem, bringing me online by the mid-eighties. Life-changing.

Years later I studied Digital Design at SFSU Multimedia Studies Program, until offered a design position at a 'lil startup called GameSpot. It was 1997, and San Francisco was the right place at the right time. I left SFSU and happily joined the GameSpot crew in their tiny office on Clement St. GameSpot is now owned by CBS and is the leading videogame news site.

Since GameSpot, I've worked at ZDNet, Macys.com, Genentech, and PG&E.

In between gigs I study new tech/ux trends and enjoy printmaking on alternative surfaces like metal, cloth, birch and more.

I think all visual designers have a special relationship with photography, even if it isn't their main focus.
